Notes on the process(es) at work in the psychoanalytical treatment of a post-autistic child

This article explores the use of clinically distinguishing the autistic experience itself from the post-autistic experience. It revisits the treatment of a child who, though no longer withdrawn, continues to be considered “autistic” by his environment. The author questions the particularities of the instinctual reunion with the object in post-autism and the transformation of early agonistic experiences over the course of the therapeutic process.
