Sont examinées les origines et les particularités culturelles de l’identité ukrainienne, l’accent est mis sur l’évolution récente après le Maїdan qui fait preuve de solidarité et de mobilisation de la nation politique émergente, luttant pour sa liberté et son choix européen. Une attention particulière est portée au conflit identitaire dans l’Est de l’Ukraine, attisé par les médias russes et donné comme prétexte pour l’invasion étrangère.

Examined are the origins and cultural peculiarities of Ukrainian identity, the accent is put on the recent evolution after Maїdan which proves solidarity and mobilization of emerging political nation, struggling for its freedom and European choice. A special attention is drawn to the conflict of identities in the East of Ukraine, aroused by Russian media and given as a ground for foreign invasion.
