Post-transplant diabetes is defined as the onset of diabetes in a transplant recipient. Its prevalence is discordant, varying from 2 to 53%, and its occurrence is associated with an unfavorable prognosis, including cardiovascular complications, a risk of excess mortality, and graft dysfunction. Screening methods, means of prevention, and therapeutic strategies will differ.
