C’est alors son articulation originale de la liberté (moderne) et de la raison (antique) à l’intérieur du tout infini de la réalité que l’on se risque à interroger en l’ouvrant à l’éventualité d’un « autrement » qui n’entrerait peut-être pas sans reste dans le cercle de la compréhension systématique.

For a better re-thinking of Eric Weil’s philosophical legacy, according to our situation, he is here first followed in the way he brings the finiteness of historical condition up to the view of present sense. Then, the text dares to question his original articulation of (modern) freedom and (ancient) reason inside the infinite whole of reality, while opening it to the possibility of « another way » which might not enter without a rest into the circle of the systematic understanding.
