Focusing on “curricular form,” this paper first locates this notion within the scientific literature and then explains the investigation of the curriculum structure, the organization of contents and their vertical and horizontal relations, using various different examples. Distinguishing contents according to their function and their references within the variety of curricula then enables me to propose, for their didactic investigation on the meso scale, a diagram of analysis that links constitutive practices and contributing knowledge. This diagram, developed from the curriculum of paramedical training, is tested in the study of the morphology of home economics education and training in hairdressing. Finally, the stakes and the prospects of didactic research opened by this proposal are discussed.
