Well-being at work in nursing homes. An analysis based on resource conservation theory

This research aims to determine the coping adopted by nursing staff at nursing homes to manage their stress at work when they are confronted with threats to their resources. Using a qualitative analysis and a theoretical framework based on conservation of resources (COR) theory, we identified three types of strategies: exploratory, defensive and investment. Thus, we deduce managerial implications in terms of occupational health prevention for nursing homes managers.
