Emigration causes a break with the social group. It can cause a crisis endangering rhe organization of identifications and outs ideals to a new organization through a process of change. The resulting crisis marks an indelible mark on the history of rhe subject and his family. Through this clinical case, we have tried to demonstrate the impact on the mental health of a reorganization of the family model during a migration resulting from their eldest son a loss of cultural identity and decompensation during a trip which puts him face his own challenges. Despite this cry for help of the son, the parental model fails to change to become support. Ibis will lead to an explosion oi rhe family. Furthermore we followed the patient and family over a period of 10 years. The analysis over three generations could help to understand the pathology of a parient due ro changes in family architecture. Diagnosis of schizophrenia carried to the designated subject could correspond to a chaotic mode of a rigid family. This family architecture followed rhe migration and loss of social and cultural references.

L’émmigration entraîne une rupture avec le groupe social. Elle peut être à l’origine d’une crise mettant en péril l’organisation des identifications et des idéaux, aboutissant à une nouvelle organisation par un processus de changement. La crise qui en découle marque d’une empreinte indélébile l’histoire du sujet et de sa famille. Au travers de ce cas clinique, nous avons essayé de démontrer la répercussion, sur la santé mentale, d’une réorganisation du modèle familial lors d’une émigration entraînant, chez leur fils aîné, une perte de l’identité culturelle et une décompensation lors d’un voyage qui le met face à ses propres défis. Malgré cet appel au secours du fils, le modèle parental ne parvient pas à chan-ger pour devenir soutenant. Ce qui va entrainer une explosion de la famille. Par ailleurs nous avons suivi le patient et sa famille sur une période de 10 ans. L’analyse sur trois générations pouvait permettre de comprendre la pathologie d’un patient duc à des modifications de l’architecture familiale. Le diagnostic de schizophrénie porté chez le sujet désigné pouvait correspondre à un mode de fonctionnement chaotique d’une famille rigide. Cette architecture familiale faisait suite à la migration et une perte de repères culturels et sociaux.
