The 2022–2026 Transplantation Plan: Objectives and priorities for increasing kidney transplantation

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2023. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The 2022–2026 Transplantation Plan was launched by the French government to increase kidney procurement and transplantation, following the failure of the previous plan. It has been designed by the Biomedicine Agency in collaboration with learned societies, including the Société francophone de néphrologie, dialyse et transplantation (Francophone Society of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation, SFNDT), and patient associations. The plan is original in its objectives, its regional organization (with it being driven by the Regional Health Agencies), the involvement of advanced practice nurses, and its funding. The aim is for every transplantable patient to receive a transplant. Increasing the number of kidney transplants, primarily from living donors, requires the involvement of all nephrologists, who are the first people involved in informing patients about the treatment of advanced chronic kidney failure and living donation.
