Along the lines traced by Vica Shentoub, thematic analysis of TAT productions has concerned itself with the subject‚s enunciation modes as much, if not more than with the content of their productions. The question of language has thus become central to the analysis of pertinent indicators in view of diagnostic inferences. This short research wishes to question the singular aspect of language : incomplete prediction. (i.p.). By comparing the TAT productions of psychotic and non psychotic subjects, we notice a significant presence of i.p. s for the psychotic subjects. The discussion qualifies this result by bringing the questioning back to the meaning of these i.p. s in relation to the pathologies which are under consideration.
