The Making of a Monster: From Devastated Sensoriality to Homicidal Violence
Type de matériel :
2
In the case of a post-adolescent rapist and murderer post mortem, this article illustrates, in the form of monstrous acts of violence, the failures of the process of adolescent creation and reappearance of a sensoriality that was devastated from early childhood. Structural psychopathology is not enough to account for these cases. Nevertheless, psychodynamic psychocriminology attempts to describe a language of the body and of the act, preliminary to an “incarcerated,” multidimensional treatment which could perhaps allow these subjects to recover a part of their humanity.
