Les auteurs présentent la procédure d’exploitation du CAT élaborée dans la « méthode des 3 axes ». La grille de cotation des items a déjà été explicitée (Simon, Claudon, 2018). Ils exposent trois opérations appliquées à un protocole CAT après la cotation : 1° la démarche pour établir la synthèse des données ; 2° la démarche des formules d’analyses qui utilisent les trois axes de cotation ; 3° la démarche de comparaison avec des repères normatifs développementaux pour trois groupes d’âge (3-4 ans ; 4-6 ans ; 6-12 ans). Cette procédure permet de faciliter le repérage des problématiques projetées par l’enfant dans ses récits CAT et permet d’évaluer son fonctionnement psychique en référence à son groupe d’âge.

The authors present the operating procedure of the CAT, developed in the “three-axis method” explained previously (Simon and Claudon 2018). The authors outline three techniques applied to a CAT protocol : 1/ the method for establishing data synthesis ; 2/ the method of the analysis formulas that use the three notation axes ; 3/ the method of comparison with developmental normative benchmarks for three age groups (3-4 years ; 4-6 years ; 6-12 years). This procedure makes it easier to identify the problems projected by the child in his/ her CAT stories and makes it possible to evaluate his/her psychic functioning in reference to his/her age group.
