Dans le phénomène de la naissance, l’impossible devient effectif, l’inappropriable constitutif et l’invisible manifeste. Ces trois paradoxes impliquent que la naissance contredit le projet d’objectivation universelle caractérisant la civilisation technique : qu’on le veuille ou non, naître est toujours un événement, dans et par lequel le monde, le soi et Dieu se font eux-mêmes événements. La naissance du Christ radicalise cette logique de manière inouïe : le Père ne se fait pas seulement entendre mais aussi voir dans la transparence du Fils.

In the phenomenon of birth, the impossible becomes effective, the inappropriable becomes constitutive and the invisible becomes manifest. These three paradoxes imply that the birth contradicts the project of universal objectivation which characterises the technical civilisation: whether it is accepted or not, to be born is always an event, in and through which the world, the self and God make themselves events. The birth of Christ radicalises this logic in a unique way: the Father makes himself not only heard but also seen in the transparency of the Son.
