For a new critical humanism

The pandemic Covid-19 has forced us to become aware of a new world that is being constructed with the representations of a world that is disappearing. This world in reinforced concrete seemed to be as indestructible as the Maginot line at the beginning of the Second World War. In both cases, we were disillusioned, since our beliefs turned out to be totally inappropriate in relation to the situation. The illnesses of the Anthropocene era highlight the obsolescence of categories of thought and action based on the norms of thermos-industrial societies. Today, we must restore humanism or accept that, like Icarus, we will perish from our machinal conquests which are all defeats of our humanity. We must renew the humanistic language of the solidarity movements organized by the concept of “social debt”.
