Performance and Attitudes with Regard to Homosexuality and Prostitution in the Literary Works of Hicham Tahir

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2015. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : If Morocco is perceived as a country where sexuality is taboo, its expression in public spaces remains complex. If we take into consideration the literary strategies, as well as « L’entrée en littérature » by Hicham Tahir, a young writer who published a collection of short stories entitled Jaabouqa in 2012, it becomes a question of understanding the nature of socially constructed positions in relation to a phenomenon that is considered deviant. Writing about homosexuality without declaring himself gay or talking about sub-Saharan immigrants in Morocco while addressing the issue of prostitution, Hicham Tahir has proved to be an ambivalent writer who is able to transcend the opposition between « normal » and « pathological ».
