In this interview, by evoking her own journey, the author tells how Erich Neumann contributed to the work undertaken by Jung. Neumann constructed a top-notch conceptual apparatus that guided his clinical practice, particularly with children. Referring to the life and theoretical and clinical contributions of one of the most important figures in the history of analytical psychology, she develops the principal themes that directed Neumann’s research and enriched the theory of the collective unconscious elaborated by Jung. The author is especially careful to point out Neumann’s interest in the original foundations of the psyche, whether it is a matter of the genesis of consciousness in the individual or the study of the archetypal stages of the development of the female psyche.
