La maternité est une expérience psychique singulière à chaque fois et pour chacune. La bisexualité psychique du sujet apparaît comme éclairage pour mieux comprendre la singularité de la maternalité à travers des naissances successives. La bisexualité psychique ne serait pas figée une fois pour toutes, les intrications des dispositions masculines et féminines de la femme s’articulant différemment à chaque naissance. De plus, un fantasme de complétude émergerait lors de la maternité, se vivant différemment à chacune d’entre elles. Dans cet article, nous proposons d’aborder la situation où, aux prises avec une imago maternelle phallique, certaines femmes envisageraient l’un de leurs enfants comme un fétiche, moyen de maintenir intact le fantasme de bisexualité psychique d’être tout (sujet et objet, femme et homme).

Motherhood is a unique psychological experience at each occasion and for each mother. The psychic bisexuality of the person can provide perspective to better understand the uniqueness of motherhood through successive births. Psychic bisexuality is never definitively established, as the masculine and feminine dispositions evolve and are expressed differently with each birth. In addition, a fantasy of completeness emerges during maternity and is experienced differently with each pregnancy. In this article we propose to review the situation wherein, struggling with the maternal phallic imago, certain women perceive one of their children as a fetish, and as a means of keeping intact the fantasy of psychic bisexuality (subject and object, man and woman).
