Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : In this article, the author studies the status of the feminist organizer in mixed organizations, on the basis of interviews with trade-union activists and members of left and far-left parties in France. Having described the “vigilance” required at every moment in this type of function, she underlines four contradictions inherent to the status of these organizers. In a third part she evokes the arguments put forward by these activists concerning the place of feminism in these organizations. Finally she makes a parallel between the feminist organizer confronted with these contradictions and the “divided independent woman” that Simone de Beauvoir described in 1949.
