This article examines the psychological outcomes of dramatic and traumatic situations encountered by professionals working within medical, social, youth, and judiciary institutions who are confronted by violent adolescents and adults. The approach is centered on the analysis of the effects of individual and collective disorganization at stake in these traumatically violent situations, and helps outline the conditions necessary for an elaborative rebound.
