“Radicalised” young people are confronted with movements of internal and external questioning, as with so many adolescents, as to their filiation and identity. Their engagement against this warlike horizon is framed around inexorable psychic threats against a background of unthinkable events in their individual and collective history. Based on a complementarian methodology, the article analyses the situation of two young men confronted with traumatic revivals of family unspoken events and the reactivation of uncontrollable internal and external movements. Despite their attempts to control these threats, their radicalism appears to reflect threatening social and political violence.
