Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2013. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : India has a rich and ancient history, characterized by the advent of successive kingdoms and urban civilizations and the political and territorial decomposition and recomposition during the 20th century. From the point of view of the dynamics of city systems, Indian territory raises the question of the degree of integration of a set of cities. This article shows that there is a unity to the Indian city characterized by a homogeneously distributed growth process for more than a century, as well as regional diversity, revealed by the heterogeneity from one region to another of the degree of inequality with respect to the size of the cities and their growth rates.
