This study presents the impact of meetings between parents whose children have been diagnosed with autism. Fifteen families agreed to be trained and then to implement at home the psychological and educational strategies based on the TEACCH program. The parents who regularly attended meetings and implemented the program at home saw considerable improvement in their child in the areas of communication, social interaction, and basic autonomy. A significant difference was observed between the number of times parents participated in the meetings and the improvements observed in the children.
