In this article, we reflect on the experiences of deprivation of children and adolescents in an Educational and Pedagogical Therapeutic Institute (itep) and their numerous repercussions on the psychic, relational and social levels. Antisocial behaviour, which emerges as an attempt to find a solution to early deprivation, radically disrupts the subject’s psychic economy as well as his subjective psychic ecology, thereby altering relational and intersubjective ties. We discuss the case of Jonas, under the aegis of the dialectic hope/despair, and try to show how it is at the heart of this extreme clinical situation. Finally we put forward some psychotherapeutic proposals from a post-Winnicottian perspective.
