This is a difficult period for autism, in which the understanding and management of the condition by psychoanalysis and institutional psychotherapy are severely threatened. However, this difficulty may encourage us to think of a complementarity between the diverse approaches. This article proposes a triadic model that is educational, pedagogic if possible, and therapeutic if necessary. The institutional consequences that result are briefly reviewed. A political appeal serves as a conclusion.
