Words build a world that sometimes escapes us and serves power, the “establishment.” The language of social work has thus been invested with corporate logic and imposes on us a vision of men and actions in the terms of managerial language. We can see this through terms as harmless as “project,” “contract,” or “partners.” We must strive to flush out the ideological issues at work behind these terms, which contribute to the destruction of individuals and the system.
