Interviews with Intensive Players of World of Warcraft

Through a series of interviews with about forty game players devoting more than fifteen hours a week to MMO (massively multiplayer online games), we analyse the reasons for the attraction exerted by World of Warcraft. We put forward the hypothesis that the attraction stems from the structure of the game itself, the fascination and pleasure derived from it and the substantial commercial benefits for the companies operating the game.
