To all intents and purposes, cyberspace seems to be a space with no frontiers: it was associated at a very early stage with globalisation and it does resist any process of assimilation. As such, existing frontiers begin to tumble in light of this new phenomenon, gnawing at the sovereignty of Nations, as recently demonstrated by the Snowden affair. And yet, recent developments reveal a glimpse of powerful attempts to reinstate a certain sovereignty, in a general move toward cyberbalkanisation.
