The results have led us to believe that laughter can be therapeutic for patients reaching the end of life inasmuch as it relieves them of their fear of death and allows them to play a final role in the continuity of their personal history. Finally, we look at the moral and therapeutic values of end-of-life models which, on the contrary, recommend the apathetic acceptance of impending death (E. Kübler-Ross).
