Trends and foresight: A forward-looking approach to tourism in the Grand Est region, serving long-term collective and individual strategies

Monitoring is needed at the regional level to achieve a desirable and sustainable form tourism, given the outlook on climate change. Will tourism remain feasible in the future? In this context, the Grand Est Regional Tourism Agency, as part of its “trends and foresight” approach, aims to decipher trends, weak signals, and possible disruptions, and to open up possibilities for its tourism professionals. Our approach has a strategic foresight purpose. This means that it explores the future to find paths that are actionable today, using a multi-angle approach that responds to the needs of the sector’s diverse professionals.
