This article offers an analysis of the global “dispositif” of the image that can be either a predator or a total open space to the power of invention. Beyond the formalist theories of modernism which claimed autonomy of art, it is now possible to think hybridizations arts & media as a possible site of struggle to transform the ambiguities of the “dispositif” into emancipatory potential for greater collaboration in image creation—or wik’images.
