Type de matériel :
44
This paper deals with inequalities in the French academic job market. Firstly, it shows that academic hiring in France conforms less and less to the rules and principles of the French public competitive exams. Subsequently, two main categories of inequalities arising from this competition are addressed: inequalities linked to the timing of access to a first academic position. and inequalities occurring during the course of an academic career. The author finally concludes that these inequalities will grow as the French higher education system becomes more strongly differentiated.
