Research in didactics is struggling to permeate teaching practices. This study questions the professionalisation of mentors in charge of initial training in the field. Invoking two fields of research, the didactics of literature and education and training sciences, the study mobilises a methodology centred on the follow-up of mentor-mentee pairs in schools. The aim is to identify how the concern for the training of the student-person is the object of transactions within the framework of the mentor-mentee training system.
