Corruption and gifts in the purchasing function: what is the process of ethical decision-making?

The aim of the research is to study the purchasers’ decision-making when they are confronted with attempts to bribe through the gifts they have been offered. The conceptual framework implemented for ethical decision-making is Jones (1991). Gifts scenarios were mobilized and administered to 160 buyers. The results show that gender, age, expertise and social consensus have a significant influence on ethical decision-making.
