This article considers the discussion by a participant during the Congress of French-Speaking Psychoanalysts of Jacques Press' written paper, oral presentation and pre-published communications together with Denys Ribas' discussion of the presentation in question. Four different perspectives of the latter's construction are put forward and discussed?: reality, the construction of and by the psyche and the truth of the subject?; the notion of defensive construction?; the notion of coconstruction and finally the effects of seduction and construction.
