Inter-analytic exchange actualises a deep movement in each of the group members and transposes a diffraction of the patient’s internal world and the psychic work in the treatment. In his presentation, the author describes one of the exchanges that shed light on a collective trauma denied by the analytic dyad. The psychic pain identified in some of the group members leads him to a new realisation that it was possible to transmit to the patient. The work of inter-analytic exchange thus produced a psychic change in the analytic situation.
