Lifetimes of commitment. Methodological proposal to explore the biographical consequences of activism amongst the French May 68 generation

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2019. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Based on 366 biographical interviews and 284 life calendars collected from individuals who were activists in the 1960s in five major French cities, and as part of a collective research project that explores the consequences of this involvement with regard to activist, professional and personal development (Sombrero, 2013-2018), we propose a unique strategy for processing these biographical data. By combining sequence analyses, multiple correspondence analysis, multiple factor analysis and cluster analysis, we present a methodological proposal to better meet the theoretical requirements of an interactionist analysis in terms of career development. Such a method helps to build a typology of biographical trajectories that can be considered as representative of each cluster identified.
