Our contribution provides an account of the first findings of research focusing on the history of German emigration to Switzerland during the Great War. A relatively large number of studies have already been devoted to the cultural dimension of this issue, in particular by specialists in Dadaism. However, there has not been any in-depth study of the political dimension of this emigration, nor an analysis of the practices established by its protagonists. This three-part article highlights the main challenges of this new historical investigation.
