Father involvement, family health and support for fathers
Type de matériel :
80
This literature review focuses on fathers’ involvement and relationships with early childhood professionals. Fathers are now recognized as important agents of child and parental health. They are also more involved in childcare, even if there are many different ways of being a father. For their part, practitioners are willing and encouraged to integrate fathers into their care practices. Nevertheless, services tend to remain mother oriented. It must be acknowledged that the relationships between fathers and practitioners are complex due to normative systems embedded in social logics, a gender order and a professional ethos.
