A mediation group with children during a latent period of “motricity creating stories”

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2018. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : The article retraces a line of questioning concerning the utilization by the latent child of group mediations based on the observations of the ethnologist, Julie Delalande (2001) of the school playground, and of H. Goldings (1974) of skipping games between girls. Referring to these studies, the author postulates that during latency a special feature of the process of symbolization is that games support play. A child presenting a borderline pathology makes use, like the latent child in good health, of games to support his/her intra- and intersubjective processes of differentiation.Together with a psychomotor co-therapist, the author set up a mediation group for children with so-called borderline symptomatology, linking motor games and the creation of stories in which the relationship between games and play is reflected on. The process of elaboration which emerges from the sessions ranges from the expression of experiences to fantasy and to the experience of creating with a peer a relationship of affective sharing in which the investment of language predominates.
