The Triggering of Psychosis: Birth of a Lacanian Concept
Type de matériel :
49
The history of the construction of the triggering of psychosis concept is strongly affected by the evolution of Lacan’s investigation about psychosis, which was considered a structure as early as 1931. It is noteworthy that at the beginning of his research, Lacan aimed at finding the specific mechanism behind delusion. His thesis, which came out the year after, truly represents the innovation of its genesis, formalized in his Exposé général (1933). While this first Lacanian approach takes root in the (German and French) psychiatric knowledge of that time, it does not disregard Freud’s contribution.
