Home visitation (HV) is a recognized preventive intervention. The scientific literature has documented the best conditions for its implementation. HV programs frequently use paraprofessional visitors. However, few recommendations have been made regarding interpersonal skills, HV training, or supervision of these paraprofessionals. This scoping review highlights the main characteristics of interventions using paraprofessionals in HV. The results show a focus on the details of training and supervision. They also highlight a lesser interest when it comes to the interpersonal skills of these home visitors.
