Analysis of the relationships between residential isolation, feelings of loneliness, and engagement as perceived by 1,237 Sport Science students during the Covid-19 epidemic. Students who lived alone during the lockdown and said that loneliness was one of the most limiting factors were also those who expressed the most negative perceptions of their engagement in distance learning. These results emphasize the harmful effects of lockdowns and the risks of an “all-digital” university.
