La réflexion sur la tragi-comédie dans son rapport à l’aventure entend dépasser le traditionnel recensement de ses éléments romanesques : à partir d’une étude lexicale du mot aventure, d’une part dans les titres donnés aux fictions narratives et dramatiques dans la première moitié du XVIIe siècle, et d’autre part dans les textes des tragi-comédies elles-mêmes, se dégage nettement la correspondance entre le merveilleux de l’aventure et le merveilleux du spectacle théâtral.

This reflection on tragicomedy in its relation to adventure intends to go beyond the traditional inventory of its romantic elements: based on a lexical study of the word aventure, on the one hand in the titles given to the narrative and dramatic fictions in the first half of the 17th century, and on the other hand in the very texts of the tragicomedies, there is clearly a correspondence between the marvelous of adventure and the marvelous of theatrical performance.
