Resumé La préoccupation suicidaire chronique dans les troubles sévères de la personnalité constitue un défi thérapeutique majeur, tout particulièrement au plan du contre-transfert. La présentation d’un modèle narcissique-limite de fonctionnement psychique du patient permet d’articuler étroitement la problématique du patient avec le tourment contre-transférentiel du thérapeute, conférant ainsi un ferment thérapeutique à ce tourment contre-transférentiel.

The chronic suicidal preoccupation in the severe personality disorders is a major therapeutic challenge, mostly concerning the countertransference. The introduction of a narcissistic borderline model of the patient’s psychic functioning allows us to strictly articulate the patient’s problematic with the therapist’s countertransferential anguish giving therefore a therapeutic ferment to this countertransferential anguish.
