Nous rappelons l’origine des Collèges cliniques, depuis la création de la Section clinique par Lacan jusqu’aux Collèges de clinique psychanalytique de l’EPFCL. Puis la relecture d’une lettre de Louis Althusser à Jacques Lacan, revenant sur le sens de l’excommunication de Lacan de la Société Française de Psychanalyse, nous amène à souligner les enjeux du repérage d’une rupture entre théorie et pratique, sans pour autant que la théorie n’ait rien à dire de cette rupture d’une part, et de la clinique psychanalytique d’autre part.

We recall the origin of the clinical Colleges, from the creation of the clinical section by Lacan to the colleges of the psychoanalytic clinic of the SPFLF. Then the rereading of a letter from Louis Althusser to Jacques Lacan, returning to the meaning of Lacan’s excommunication from the French Society of Psychoanalysis, leads us to highlight the stakes of the location of a rupture between theory and practice, without theory having anything to say about this rupture on the one hand, or about the psychoanalytic clinic on the other.
