En dos ejemplos clínicos, el primero de una vulnerabilidad particular a los desarrollos tumorales, y el segundo, una enfermedad autoinmune, el autor intent una tecnica para-excitante diferente de la prudencia psicoterápica habitual, inspirada de la gestion de los estados ciclotíkicos.

Es handelt sich um eine besonders diskrete Form der Manie, ohne auffällige Stimmungsbilder, so wie man es manchmal auch vor einer melancholischen Krise in den Zyklothymien beobachten kann. Am Beispiel zweier klinischen Fälle, der este, einer besonderen Anfälligkeit zu Tumorentwicklungen, der zweite einer Autoimmun Krankheit, versucht der Autor eine besänftigende Technik zu entwickeln, die anders als die übliche psychotherapeutische Vorsicht, den Umgang mit den Zyklothymien als Grundlage nimmt.
