Le thème de la bizarrerie a non seulement intéressé les psychiatres aliénistes du xixe siècle, mais aussi Freud dès L’Interprétation des rêves. Mais le concept d’objet bizarre a été décrit par Bion, issu d’une haine profonde de la réalité. À la même période, Winnicott s’est aussi penché sur celle-ci, et a élaboré la notion d’ego-alien ou de moi-autre associé au surgissement brutal d’un élément inconscient détruisant le moi. À leur origine existe une pulsion d’emprise d’un Autre terrifiant dans l’inconscient. Les travaux de Guy Rosolato autour des signifiants de démarcation rejoignent les recherches de Bion et de Winnicott.

The theme of bizarreness was not only of interest for the alienist psychiatrists of the 19th century but also for Freud in The Interpretation of Dreams. But the concept of bizarre object arising from profound hatred for reality, was described by Bion. At the same period, Winnicott also dwelt on this hatred and elaborated the notion of ego-alien or ego-other associated with the sudden emergence of an unconscious element destroying the ego. At their origin there is a drive to dominate a terrifying Other in the unconscious. The contributions of Guy Rosolato on demarcation signifiers coincide with Bion and Winnicott’s investigations.

El tema de lo extraño no solo ha interesado a los psiquiatras alienistas del siglo XIX, sino también a Freud desde La interpretación de los sueños.
