Dans cette contribution Ugo Mattei et Alessandra Quarta introduisent la notion de commons dans le débat juridique, en soulignant l’importance, pour l’approche de la crise écologique, d’une interprétation contra-hégémonique de maintes catégories juridiques, telles que la propriété et la souveraineté. Les commons peuvent contribuer à la transformation de la « propriété extractive » en une « catégorie générative », améliorant le rôle des communautés et de l’autogestion des ressources.

In this contribution Ugo Mattei and Alessandra Quarta introduce the notion of commons in the legal debate, underlining the importance of a counter-hegemonic interpretation of many legal categories, such as property and sovereignty, for dealing with the issue of ecological crisis. Commons can contribute to transform extractive property in a generative category, enhancing the role of communities and the self-management of resources.
