RésuméAlister McGrath a mené à terme le projet d’élaborer dans la ligne des travaux de Th. F. Torrance une théologie scientifique, c’est-à-dire une théologie construite en relation avec les sciences de la nature. L’article présente les grandes lignes de ce travail et indique sa situation dans la théologie contemporaine, notamment par rapport à la théologie naturelle. Il montre aussi les enjeux et les limites d’un tel projet.

Alister McGrath brought to completion the project of elaborating in the line of Th. F. Torrance’s work a scientific theology, that is to say, a theology constructed in relation to the sciences of nature. This paper presents the broad lines of this work and points up its situation in contemporary theology, notably with respect to natural theology. It shows as well the stakes and limits of such a project.
