Language and (bi)sexuality
Hinze, Hélène
Language and (bi)sexuality - 2019.
22
From the beginning, infantile (bi)sexuality overloads the words of language with its hallucinatory erotic energy. This instinctual drive energy enters into conflict with the language in use which tries to contain it and claims to tame it. With the help of three illustrations, syntactic constructions, the translation of Jensen’s Gradiva, and a clinical example, the author examines these conflicts and their effects.
