RésuméLes systèmes de prix du cadre conceptuel classique ne semblent pas nécessiter un concept de valeur, distinct de celui de prix. Pourtant, récemment, le traitement de certaines questions dans ce cadre conceptuel a impliqué d’introduire un tel concept. Cet article montre que : 1) toutes ces questions soulèvent un même problème, analogue au problème du référentiel en physique ; 2) les économistes classiques et Marx identifiaient clairement ce problème et le résolvaient grâce à un concept de valeur et 3) c’est la rectification par Bortkiewicz d’une prétendue erreur de Marx qui a contribué à occulter ce problème et, ainsi, la signification du concept de valeur. The price systems of the classical conceptual framework do not apparently need a concept of value, distinct from the concept of price. Though, recently, the treatment of certain questions within this framework has called for such a concept. This paper shows that: 1) all these questions raise a same problem, analogous to the referential problem in physics, 2) the classical economists and Marx were aware of this problem and solved it out with the aid of a concept of value, and 3) it is Bortkiewicz’s rectification of a so-called error of Marx that may be traced back as responsible for having concealed this problem and, thereby, the meaning of the concept of value.
